The Institute is located within the premises of Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad in a 30-acre scenic environment with a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The Institute’s library is well equipped with a wide-range of books on Hospital Management. The library also subscribes to a 30 number of National journals on healthcare management, marketing, economics, finance and general management. At present, there are about 2553 titles with 4,679 volumes of textbooks. Reports of hospital visits, “Know Your Hospital” (KYH), presentations, hospital study tours and dissertations constitute a very important resource base of the Institute.
The Institute’s Computer Center is equipped with state of the art systems. The entire center is connected through a LAN to facilitate sharing of resources. These facilities are offered with a view to provide hands-on training on relevant packages like, Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and applications in business and hospital management. Students have access to the Internet and are encouraged to use information available on the net for the purpose of academic assignments.
The institute also has a spacious Seminar hall with a capacity to seat 100 people. Weekly seminars and presentations by guest faculty and students are held here. It is well equipped with various audio-visual aids including overhead projectors and an LCD projector.
The institute’s Library is well equipped with a wide range of latest books on Business Administration, Hospital Management, and allied subjects. The library also subscribes to a number of foreign and Indian journals, specifically on healthcare marketing, hospital administration, and general management. At present, there are about 2,553 titles with 4,679 volumes of textbooks. Selected books are being added periodically to keep it up to date. Comfortable arrangements are provided to enable students to read and refer books, periodicals, journals, economic dailies and EBSCO online journals database subscribed,which enables access to 160 International E- Journals. In addition to the above, the library has become a treasure trove of dissertation work, hospital study tour reports, and KYH reports, which have been generated by the previous Fourteen batches of MHM students.

Dr. Prathap C. Reddy: He is the Chairman of Apollo Group of Hospitals. A Doctor by profession. Credited with ushering in the era of Corporate Hospitals in India. A visionary, under his dynamic leadership, the Apollo Group, with 45 owned and managed hospitals, has emerged as the largest healthcare provider in Asia and the fourth largest in the world.
Foreseeing the need for a trained cadre of professionals in healthcare delivery started the Apollo Institute of Hospital Administration in 1994 under Apollo Hospitals Educational and Research Foundation.

Ms. Sangita Reddy: She is the Executive Director - Operations, Apollo Group of Hospitals. She is also the Managing Director- Apollo Health Street Ltd. & Director-Family Health Plan Ltd. As founder Secretary & Treasurer of AIHA she has provided dynamic leadership and is instrumental in its development. She is associated with several organizations.

Shri. A.P.V Reddy: He is the Managing Director of Family Health plan (TPA) Limited.
Shri. Umapathy K: He belongs to Indian Administrative Service. He held number of important positions in Government and retired as Principal Secretary to Govt. of Andhra Pradesh. He was In-charge Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University. He is associated with the AIHA right from its inception as a founder Trust Member.
Shri. Vishweshwar R Konda: He is an Engineering Graduate and had his higher education in USA. He is associated with development of Hospital software and he is the Managing Director-Citadel Research and Solutions Ltd., a company involved in Software development in the areas of clinical information systems, Health Insurance Systems and GIS GPS Solutions. He was also Managing Director and Chief Mentor-Wipro Healthcare Ltd. He is an Adjunct Faculty Member at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He is associated with AIHA as Trust Member.
Dr.K.Hari prasad: He is the Chief Executive officer of Apollo Hospital,Hyderabad.
Shri. B.Bhaskar Reddy: He is the General MAnager Finance & Accounts of Apollo Hospital,Hyderabad.
Dr. K.V.Achalapathi: He is Dean, Faculty of Commerce, Osmania University and nominee of University on the Governing Body of AIHA.
Shri. V.R Kesava Ram : He represents faculty on the Governing Body of AIHA. He is an MBA in Hospital and Health systems Management with 2 years of teaching and 2 years of industry experience. He handles hospital related subjects and takes care of practical training for the students.
Dr. D. Obul Reddy Phd:He is principal of AIHA . He has 37 years of experience as proffesar in Osmania University. He served in different capacities as Dean, Chairman-Board of Studies etc. He published several articles and books in Commerce & Management areas. He handles Accountancy & statistics etc.
Nature and Extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs/ improvements
At regular fortnightly meetings of faculty all issues pertaining to syllabus, its coverage, academic programmes, student attendance, discipline, seminars etc.. will be discussed thoroughly. There is a total involvement of faculty in running the institute and maintenance of academic standards.
In organization of various activities like seminars, foundation day celebrations students are deeply involved. They are involved right from conceptualization stage. Open House sessions provide regular opportunity to students for offering their suggestions for improvement.
HOW TO REACH
This Institute is located in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, situated in the campus of the Apollo Hospital, which is about 10 Kilometers from Hyderabad railway station and 15 Kilometers from Secunderabad railway station. The Institute is well connected by RTC buses. Route numbers 127F, 127J, 127K from Hyderabad (Nampally) railway station and 47C, 47L, 47Y from Secunderabad railway station.
New initiatives and future vision
The Research and Development Centre was established on May 2nd 2007, under the aegis of the Institute. The Center developed due to a policy initiative from the Apollo leadership, to integrate the various operations, public health and education related research and funding activities. The aim is to provide a framework for the development of innovative and creative academic trends in the Institute. Currently, the Center is run by a Coordinator and two part time research assistants.
The Center has completed an extensive review of several educational programs in health care and public health programs across India, United States and Australia. This review is being used to guide better teaching patterns in the Institute. Specific attention is directed towards the development of Management Development Programs. The Center also works on international collaborations to strengthen the current delivery methods and introduce new trends.
Since its conception, the Center has completed four small scale public health research projects. The Center is also extensively working on improving rural health care service delivery methods. Currently, the Center is conducting a study on Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad to identify innovative trends for improving corporate rural health care. The Center maintains close relations with several leading research organisations, and is in the process of beginning collaborative public health research ventures.
Funding initiatives are amongst the major priorities of the Center. The Center has completed the preparation of an extensive funding database, involving both national and international organisations. The Center has made five grant application submissions to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and six others are to be submitted by the end of this academic year. Funding ventures are directed for the development of research and educational projects.
The Center is also working to streamline the various academic activities related to hospital operations. The Centre intends to create a pattern for undertaking operations research within the Apollo Hospitals Group.
Currently, the Center is working towards developing a strategic context, with key focus on organisational initiatives and future directions. The plan proposes four core strategies: 1.Operations Research, 2 Education and Learning, 3 Public Health Research, 4 Development. The Center will develop core expertise in each of these areas, and will project each activity as an individual area for future development. The Center will ultimately develop into several centers of excellence, functioning to achieve global recognition.
